Delyth & Michael

It was lovely to meet up with Delyth and Michael for their engagement shoot at the Rhigos Mountain in the Rhondda Valley. Having been a friend of both for so long i’m very excited for their upcoming wedding on September 16th 2017 at Rose Dew Farm in Llantwit Major.

Upon arriving up the Rhigos, in typical Welsh style, the weather changed instantly with fog, but in my opinion this really helped to make the images look slightly different and give them a nice mood to the background. Of course, we can’t expect nice weather in August on a mountain in the valleys in Wales can we??

Thank you both for choosing myself to capture your wedding day in a few weeks time, i really can’t wait!

Mr & Mrs Mickelsen

Sunday, 17th July 2016, at Court Colman Manor House in Bridgend, saw the romantic wedding of Gerrard and Joanne.

With their family and friends surrounding them it was always going to be a joyous occasion with Joanne having 3 brides maids, Sophie, Angela and Joanne along with Olivia as Junior bridesmaid and Darcy as a flower girl, and Gerrard opting for his brother, Dave, as best man with Harvey (the couples son), Blake and Harrison as page boys.

The mornings weather had started off gloomy but this didn’t stop the spirit of the bridal party, as they enjoyed many of good laughs together and emotions all round.

Onto the ceremony, Gerrard was very emotional seeing his glowing bride walking down the isle to greet him. He shed a tear at how beautiful she looked and you could just see his heart melting for her. A very touching moment in the day’s proceedings.

Court Colman, which is situated in beautiful South Wales scenery of mountains and trees, was the perfect choice for this bride and groom. It has to be said about how well the staff were to me personally and the guests of this wedding.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Mr & Mrs Mickelsen a happy life together filled with as much love as they have for their family and each other.

Ladies and Gentlemen…Mr & Mrs Kingdom

On a hot and beautiful summer day on July 25th 2015, the gorgeous bride Helen Acton and the handsome groom Andrew Kingdom tied the knot at the Margam Park Orangery.

The couple, from Bridgend, South Wales, enjoyed basking in the sunshine and the splendid surroundings on this special day.

Helen, wearing a beautiful Ivory A line dress with stunning detail and a gorgeous train, made the room gasp at how glowing she looked and took her grooms breath away as she walked with her dad down the isle.

Also, the couples cute daughter was a gorgeous flower girl and also stealing the show in her beautiful dress

One thing that is always guaranteed is a smile from the groom on seeing his wife for the first time in her dress. I think this picture explains how proud Andrew is of his wife

After the ceremony was over, the couple released doves outside, as a token of their love for each.

With everyone lined up ready to throw the confetti, you could clearly see how much the guests were happy for the bride and groom. The celebrations were in a constant spirit all day.

The room was beautifully decorated and the bride and groom thought of every possible little detail to make sure that their guests enjoyed their day.

The bridesmaids looked the part in their purple dresses, matching the decorations of the room.

The couple had Ellie Goulding’s hit song, How Long Will I Love You. This was a special moment of the day with the guests surrounding the dance floor. Even some people with tears in their eyes

Congratulations to the bride and groom, we wish Andrew & Helen Kingdom a wonderful marriage!

Birthday delight with Cora

This was a birthday treat! Cora celebrated her fab birthday party in Gelli, Rhondda at the First Stop Café. All the work was done by her mother, Kirsty Thomas, who owns Hatters Tea Room in Bridgend.

Kirsty is the party organising Queen, and I’m delighted to say that Into The Heart are suppliers to many of occasions there.

Kirsty hired the two floors at the First Stop Café and gave a little princess her dream party! There was fun friendly dance music to keep the kids entertained, also she had the amazing face painter there, Helen Proudfoot from Bridgend, with her company Sparkles and Smiles Parties. They are definitely worth a like on Facebook.

Luckily the weather was nice outside so I was able to utilise the beautiful scenery in Gelli Park, pictures are below from the day.

Thank you Kirsty!

Happy Birthday Megan!

On Sunday May 10th 2015, I was lucky enough to photograph the big happy birthday of Megan who turned 5! This was an event at North Cornelly Community Hall near Porthcawl.

The party was well catered for kids but even adults! I witnessed grown men having their nails painted, women having war paint on and the kids bursting with energy on the bouncy!

Rachel, who is Megan’s mum certainly had the children entertained with a bouncy castle, party music and the biggest buffet I’ve ever seen! Candy pops are something that you should definitely try!!

The party was a “My Little Pony” theme and the cake (image below) was out of this world!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the event and I can’t thank Rachel enough for having me there to photograph some special memories!
