Mr & Mrs Stickler

While the country is having a heat wave, it really helped to keep everyone’s spirits up for the wedding of Sarah and Gareth at New House Country Hotel, Cardiff. The bride and groom, only from a few miles away in Llanishen, decided to wed at one of Wales’ best places for a view on your wedding day. This gorgeous hotel boasts the whole view of Cardiff and it’s bay. The wedding was a superb occasion for everyone who attended and such a wonderful atmosphere all day as the sun kissed on us all. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Stickler!

Delyth & Michael

It was lovely to meet up with Delyth and Michael for their engagement shoot at the Rhigos Mountain in the Rhondda Valley. Having been a friend of both for so long i’m very excited for their upcoming wedding on September 16th 2017 at Rose Dew Farm in Llantwit Major.

Upon arriving up the Rhigos, in typical Welsh style, the weather changed instantly with fog, but in my opinion this really helped to make the images look slightly different and give them a nice mood to the background. Of course, we can’t expect nice weather in August on a mountain in the valleys in Wales can we??

Thank you both for choosing myself to capture your wedding day in a few weeks time, i really can’t wait!

Mr & Mrs Bundy

Emma and Andrew Bundy got married on Saturday 3rd of June 2017 at the picturesque church in Pentre, St Peters Parish Church.

During the morning period, little rain showers couldn’t dampen the spirits of the couple as they both were eager to get the ceremony underway.

Emma left her home, in Treorchy, in a stretch limo which included a little tour of upper Rhondda before heading to the church, while Andrew arrived in style in a Ford Cortina. His passion for cars was the catalyst for this decision.

Upon having a beautiful wedding ceremony the couple travelled to their wedding reception venue. As the weather was glorious for us in the early evening, we were able to utilise the gorgeous scenery at The Bwlch Mountain in the Rhondda.

I think you’ll all agree with me in saying how wonderful end elegant the bride looked in her dress and how handsome the groom looked in his suit.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bundy! I wish you well for the future.

Ssshhhh…Don’t Tell The Bride!

“Hi I’m looking for a photographer for my wedding”, “oh that’s great, congratulations on setting a date, when is it for?”, “I’m not 100% sure just yet”.

This was how the conversation started over the phone when I had a call from Matthew Pewtner.

I was somewhat confused by our conversation. The groom didn’t know his own wedding date? But, to my surprise, it was later revealed that it was going to be for the next series of Sky 1’s “Don’t Tell The Bride”.

Much to my excitement at the prospect of this booking, it was all confirmed over the phone with Matthew who seemed to be excited but also a little stressed.

Matthew, a former professional rugby player for Newport Gwent Dragons, was tasked to organise a wedding for his beautiful fiance, Zoe Williams, in just 3 weeks.

Now most people will say that it’s impossible to pull this off, but Matthew truly did it in style.

Normally, plenty of planning and organisation goes into my services for someone’s wedding day, however due to the confidentiality of the show and the wedding, I actually found out the night before where I needed to be at what times. This was a very exciting moment for me, wondering what was to come.

I was informed by Matthew to be at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, early on Friday March 25th, 2016.

On arriving at the hotel, this is where I met Zoe and her bridesmaids, surrounded by a film crew. It certainly made the guests heads rise from their morning coffee as they were wondering what it was all for.

After 3 weeks of not seeing Matthew, you could clearly see Zoe’s excitement that her big day was finally here.

With Zoe left pondering what was happening next, there was a knock on the door. Much to Zoe’s delight, Matthew had thoughtfully arranged a hair and make up artist, from Envy Hair Studio, for her and the bridesmaids.

I have to give Lisa and Bledynn a big shout out for the work provided on the morning. They went well above and beyond, and you could see that they really enjoyed themselves with the bride and the bridesmaids too.

As the day was moving on, excitement and nerves started kicking in for Zoe, but she kept herself calm and laughed all the way through. It was really nice to see a bride, who knew nothing about how her day was going to pan out, just smiling and enjoying the moments.

It was wonderful to capture Zoe’s reaction catching her first glimpse of the bridesmaids dresses.

The girls, who were in Roman style fancy dress outfits, managed to pull off the look in spectacular fashion!

Matthew tailored her dress to his own design in keeping with his theme. The dress was ordered at the very popular wedding shop Charlotte Alexander. I think you’ll all agree that she looks beautiful in her wedding dress and Matthew chose well.

As they moved away from the luxurious Celtic Manor Resort, Zoe made her way to the ceremony at Caerleon  Amphitheater.

Zoe, totally shocked at having an out door wedding, arrived to the venue on a chariot. She was delighted to see her Dad waiting for her at the entrance gates.

The next part was where I met Matthew for the first time. Looking like a warrior in his armour, Matthew appeared excited for what was about to happen… Commence the battle scene!!

He organised for a group of Roman legionairies to conduct a fake battle scene, for which Zoe was the prize. I’m pleased to say that Matthew won the battle!

After the battle ended, it was time for Zoe’s dad to walk her down the aisle. Looking proud and happy as he did so, Zoe was smiling from ear to ear…such a beautiful image as she greeted her man in shining armour.

It was time for the Roman ceremony to commence.

Caerleon Amphitheater was sent into cheers from the guests who congratulated their bride and groom on a fantastic ceremony. Certainly a little different to what I’ve been used too.

After doing some interviews for the cameras, and posing on the chariot, it was time for the bride and groom to move onto their next venue.

Matthew had booked out an Indian restaurant in Penhow, The Indian Cottage.

His best man, who all day was laughing and joking with Matthew and the guests, totally nailed his best man’s speech! It’s actually a shame the programme left this out as not only did Matthew have a bit of a grilling but Zoe did too…all in good context though.

Zoe’s dad gave a very emotional speech, as did Matthews dad.

For the evening ceremony, he booked Zoe’s favourite artist, and former “The Voice” contestant, Ragsy.

This was a very popular choice with Zoe. She sang and danced her heart out!
Before the evening closed, we managed to take group shots outside of the venue with friends and family, as well as throwing the bouquet.

I was treated very well by the production team from start to finish, they always kept me informed on the day. It was a privilege to work with Renegade Pictures.

As for the bride and groom, I can’t thank Matthew enough for finding me online and asking me to capture their day. It was a fantastic day, and again, from both sides of the family to the bride and groom, everyone made me feel welcome and join in with their fun. It certainly was interesting to be part of the show.

Congratulations Matthew and Zoe, Mr & Mrs Pewtner

Thanks for booking

Mr & Mrs Davies Tie The Knot In Herefordshire

Set in the gorgeous Herefordshire country side lies Lyde Court, a beautiful 17th century stone barn that is a popular wedding venue and also used for performing arts. Such as Cerys Matthews, Kids In Glass Houses and many of opera societies have performed at this superb venue.

The bride and groom travelled for their special day, coming from Tom Jones’ town of Pontypridd, South Wales.

Bethan and Phillip, the new Mr & Mrs Davies, enjoyed spending the day with their special friends and family, by having two of their party perform acoustically for their first dance, Ho Hey by The Lumineers.

There was such a big buzz from this occasion as guests joined the bride and groom on the dance floor half way through the song.

We would like to wish them all the best for their future!

It’s A Blue Day For Mr & Mrs Hicks, But Not As You Know It!

Just a short drive off the M4 at junction 34 is the beautiful picturesque Miskin Manor, set in 25 acres of pure bliss and beautifully well manicured gardens. This was the perfect set up for the newly weds, Gavin & Laura.

The sun was shining on 27/6/15 as the guests enjoyed their beverages outside on the beautiful lawn terrace.

The couple had a fantastic day surrounded by their loved ones. There was plenty of time to enjoy the wedding, relax with friends and even give some of the dads the chance to play football…that’s right, football!

As the title states, it was a blue day. But not in the down beat kind of way. The groom was a big Chelsea FC fan and named all the tables after his heroes in the famous Blue of Chelsea FC. Even Jose Mourinho was a guest….ok, all beit as a cardboard cut out.

This pretty much sums up the day. There was plenty of fun things to keep people entertained! A massive surprise to the wedding guests was when food had finished being served, the waiters starting to sing. Singing waiters has started to become a trend now at weddings.

The transition from the day into the evening was fantastic as guests were clearly in good spirits sharing with the bride and groom.

A beautiful moment of the night was for Laura, the beautiful bride, having her cousin David to sing the newly weds first dance. They opted for a well known Disney song, but one that I’ve never come across as a first dance….Kiss The Girl from The Little Mermaid.

Laura and Gavin had a superb cheer from their first dance, that led straight into the evenings entertainment in the form of Jukebox Covers Band who got the room feeling energised and fresh with their versatile set list.

Kickin straight off with One Directions hit “What Makes You Beautiful”

The day was beautifully arranged and I’d like to wish Laura & Gavin, Mr & Mrs Hicks a wonderful honeymoon and best wishes for the rest of their lives

Mr & Mrs Green

Saturday 13th June, two lovely people tied the knot at the Three Saints Hotel in Llantrisant.

Jade Poulton and Steven Green had a beautifully hand crafted wedding. They got married in the hotels registered room.

The bride, forever glowing in her dress, had 3 bridesmaids while the groom had two best men whom he was friends with since his younger days.

With the colour theme a beautiful blue, the wedding was tastefully decorated, with the bridesmaids matching.

The couple had a 250+ strong crowd in attendance which shows how much they’re well respected and loved by their family and friends.

The night was celebrated in style with the weddings function band Jukebox
Their first dance was “I want to grow old with you” by Westlife.

We wish Mr & Mrs Green a lovely honeymoon.

Mr & Mrs Mason…The Beautiful Newlyweds

Sunday…for most of the world it’s a day of rest. Whether it is to recover from a weekend hang over, spend time with your family or just have a kick back and lazy day! But not for this special couple.   At Cardiff’s exceptional location of “The New Country Hotel“, the view from here is enough to take people’s breath away. intotheheart   This was the location for a gorgeous bride, Leanne Walker of Ton Pentre, Rhondda and the dashing Chris Mason to become the new happy couple! Their first dance was originally going to be a Stereophonics number, “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” but there was a surprise up Chris’ sleeve. The song was indeed a Stereophonics song, but with the vocals coming from Chris himself who had pre recorded this beautiful song. This eventually made for an emotional first dance, which reduced the beautiful bride to tears…least to say, she wasn’t the only one in the room! into the heart After this superb first dance came the chance for Leanne’s father, Les Walker. They had planned to have a traditional father/daughter dance….Les had other idea’s! As the song started, My Girl by The Temptations, there was a special moment between these two that made everyone smile, until the DJ mashed it up, with the Bride clueless but the father in the know, on comes a number of dance tracks including “Gangnam Style”, with Les totally showing off some smooth dance moves and having the room in fits of laughter and joy! If Carlsberg did father and daughter dance’s…. intotheheartintotheheart The rest of the night was a big party! The couple had booked the magnificent wedding band “Jukebox” who certainly got the night underway!! With an action packed set of songs to keep the dance floor filled, the bride and groom shared this centre stage with their friends and family! Drink was flowing, guests were glowing and the rest ladies and gentlemen was history!   Congratulations to the fantastic and beautiful couple, Mr & Mrs Mason!   intotheheartintotheheart intotheheart intotheheart intotheheart intotheheart intotheheart

Congratulations Eiddwen and Aled Hughes!

There was something special about this North Wales wedding. A beautiful day, in the gorgeous surroundings of Anglesey, was a hidden gem of a venue called Tre Ysgawen Hall

The venue boasted beautiful gardens that is truly out of the ordinary!

The bride and groom had luxury travel to the venue, in the form of a Land Rover and Mercedes Benz.

The bride, as most do, stole the show of this wedding. And rightly so! In a beautifully laced fishtail dress, Eiddwen looked exquisite! Her hair and make up also adding to her glowing presence on the day.

The groom, Aled, was looking rather dapper in his 3 piece suit. Constantly smiling every time he caught glimpses of Eiddwen, he was certainly enjoying his day, their big moment.

The couple had a great evening planned also, and had hired South Wales wedding function band, Jukebox. These guys are well experienced and deliver the hype of entertainment that’s required for a wedding party!

They performed the bride and grooms first dance, Ed Sheeran’s smash hit record “Thinking Out Loud”.

From start to finish of the evening reception the dance floor was packed!

At one point, Aled had been lifted to the skies like he was at a rock festival, and everyone below him rocking with him! This image, for me, sums up the couples wedding day! Fun, love, great guests and just amazing memories.

The band also had the newly weds perform their first duet as a married couple, belting out Bryan Adams’ “Summer of 69”. The groom very much enjoyed the limelight and was giving it some to his “fans”.

We really hope that everyone else who was there enjoyed the party!
