The Story That Gripped The World

When Emma White, from Brighton, went to Paris in June 2016 she did not realise that her life was going to change forever. Having moved to Wales to be with her boyfriend, Darren Crandon, from Risca, the couple embarked on an incredible journey to France to be part of the European Championships held there this summer.

Darren and Emma hit the world headlines in June 2016 with major social media viral sites such as “The Lad Bible” picking up on the story which proved to be the romantic edge of the Euro’s. You can watch the proposal here

Darren had planned to do the proposal in Paris, but on doing so I don’t think he expected how widespread this was going to go. They have recently done interviews for the BBC, Sky Sports News as well as major worldwide network tv companies.

This was a beautiful story of how Wales & England rivalry was thrown aside and the couple become one. Darren and Emma were wearing their international football shirts while this proposal happened and this is what gripped the nation. A love tale of two beautiful people coming together.

The popular alcoholic beverage and tournament sponsor, Carlsberg, paid for the couple to go to the final of Euro 2016 to watch Portugal lift the trophy in France.

This story has really been a focal point of the summer but the story isn’t over yet….its just the beginning of their lives together.

I wish them all the best for their future.

Mr & Mrs Mickelsen

Sunday, 17th July 2016, at Court Colman Manor House in Bridgend, saw the romantic wedding of Gerrard and Joanne.

With their family and friends surrounding them it was always going to be a joyous occasion with Joanne having 3 brides maids, Sophie, Angela and Joanne along with Olivia as Junior bridesmaid and Darcy as a flower girl, and Gerrard opting for his brother, Dave, as best man with Harvey (the couples son), Blake and Harrison as page boys.

The mornings weather had started off gloomy but this didn’t stop the spirit of the bridal party, as they enjoyed many of good laughs together and emotions all round.

Onto the ceremony, Gerrard was very emotional seeing his glowing bride walking down the isle to greet him. He shed a tear at how beautiful she looked and you could just see his heart melting for her. A very touching moment in the day’s proceedings.

Court Colman, which is situated in beautiful South Wales scenery of mountains and trees, was the perfect choice for this bride and groom. It has to be said about how well the staff were to me personally and the guests of this wedding.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Mr & Mrs Mickelsen a happy life together filled with as much love as they have for their family and each other.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Davies

Saturday, July 2nd 2016, Loren Thorne & Mark Davies married at the Maes Manor, Blackwood. Situated up a long steep hill off the main road, this beautiful Manor House has gorgeous views heading out over the valley and luckily the sun was shining throughout the day which allowed us to utilise this spectacular view.

I arrived at the venue for 7.30am to be greeted by emotional but excited bridesmaid, who were enjoying some early morning Prosecco to continue the fantastic mood that was ever present.

Loren had been nervous on the build up to her special moment but was in high spirits having her best friends around her. They certainly made me feel welcome and the conversations were like no other…i physically hurt from laughing all morning.

Once the groom arrived everyone in the room upstairs knew that time was running away with the day, it all got real and the laughter from emotions got more excitable.

The ceremony got underway with joy in the room, all their friends and family were in high spirits and really added to this special day.

The speeches from Marks best man and his dad were fun and gave Mark some blushes and plenty of moments with his head in hands, but he took it well. Loren’s dad, really rounded off how proud he was of her and how happy he was that Mark has been added to the family.

The evening guests had popular wedding band Devious perform for them and totally rocked up this wedding. Mark and Loren had met at a gig of theirs a few years back so seemed the best thing to do is have Devious send them into their married life with a bang!

I can’t thank Mark & Loren and the bridesmaids enough for making my day a memorable day too, and I just wish them every bit of success and a happy marriage for the rest of their lives.

Congratulations
